Laboratory · Thermal insulation (EPS / XPS)
Insulation boards are bought by class: EPS 80, EPS 100, EPS 150. The class should mean a real density and compressive strength, because both affect how the board performs under render, floors and roofs.
All four tests are accredited under ISO/IEC 17025 (DPA certificate LT 069).

When you need these tests
- Checking that delivered boards match the class on the label.
- ETICS façades, floors and inverted roofs where compressive strength matters.
- Producers’ factory production control.

Sampling and what to send us
- At least three whole boards from the same batch, with the label.
What your test report contains
- A unique report number, the accredited laboratory’s details and the ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation mark for accredited tests.
- Sample identification, sampling details and the condition of the sample on receipt.
- The standard and method used for every test, with any deviation stated.
- Results with units, and comparison with the specified limits when you give them to us.
- Signature of the authorised laboratory staff.
Frequently asked questions
Is density enough to identify the EPS class?
No. The class is defined by compressive stress at 10% deformation; density is a useful check alongside it.
