Laboratory · Mixing water for concrete

Mixing water is the most underestimated ingredient in concrete. Chlorides, sulfates, organic matter or oils dissolved in it affect setting and strength and, in the case of chlorides, drive corrosion of the reinforcement.

These tests are carried out to the methods referenced in BS EN 1008 but are not included in our ISO/IEC 17025 accredited scope (LT 069); reports are issued without the accreditation mark.
