About the project
Art Residence needed its foundations protected against ground moisture and water before the structure went up. SARP supplied the waterproofing system and followed the installation on site together with Klar shpk.
Below-ground waterproofing has to be continuous over the whole structure, including joints and penetrations, because once the building is backfilled it can no longer be reached or repaired.
System applied
Where needed, the concrete was first repaired and reprofiled with Mapegrout Tissotropico, a fibre-reinforced thixotropic repair mortar. The surfaces were then primed with Mapethene Primer, a solvent-free bitumen primer, and waterproofed with Mapethene HT AP, a self-adhesive bitumen membrane that can be applied at temperatures up to +35 °C.
