About the project
Bathrooms and wet areas need a waterproofing layer under the tiles, because grout and tiles on their own are not watertight. At Crowne Plaza Hotel, Durrës, SARP supplied the system and supervised its application with MIG Investment.
A flexible cementitious membrane such as Mapelastic is applied in two coats, with reinforcing tape at wall-to-floor junctions, in corners and around drains, before the tiles are laid on top.
