About the project
Bathrooms and wet areas need a waterproofing layer under the tiles, because grout and tiles on their own are not watertight. At Railway Station, SARP supplied the system and supervised its application with Strabag AG.
A flexible cementitious membrane such as Mapelastic is applied in two coats, with reinforcing tape at wall-to-floor junctions, in corners and around drains, before the tiles are laid on top.
