Mapenet 150
Alkali-resistant glass fibre mesh, in compliance with the ETAG 004 guide, for reinforcing protective waterproofing layers, anti-fracture membranes and thermal insulation systems.

Where it is used
- Reinforcing Mapelastic, Mapelastic Smart, Mapelastic Turbo or Monolastic for waterproofing terraces, balconies, swimming pools, baths and shower cubicles with ceramic tile or stone finishes
- Protective, flexible smoothing layers of those products on internal and external cementitious substrates with micro cracks
- Products of the Plastimul range on substrates with micro cracks
- Cementitious skim coats in general
Why Mapenet 150
- Glass fibres with a special coating that provides resistance to alkalis (ETAG 004, paragraph 5.6.7.1)
- Reinforces the hardened layer against cracks from movement in the substrate or the tiled surface
- Makes it easier to apply an even layer of the chosen product
- Improves the system’s resistance to temperature variations and abrasion
How it is applied

Apply the first layer
Apply an even layer of the product to be reinforced.

Embed the mesh
While the product is still fresh, lay Mapenet 150 on the surface and press it gently with the trowel so that it is embedded in the layer. It must be completely embedded.

Overlap and finish
Overlap each piece by at least 5 cm. Wait for the layer to dry and, if required, apply a second layer of the product.

Application precautions
- The mesh must be completely embedded in the layer to be reinforced
- Overlap each piece by at least 5 cm
- Wear gloves and goggles and follow the safety requirements of the workplace

How much does a roll cover?
A roll is 50 m long and 1 m wide, so approximately 50 m² before the overlaps of at least 5 cm.
Which products can it reinforce?
Mapelastic, Mapelastic Smart, Mapelastic Turbo and Monolastic, products of the Plastimul range on substrates with micro cracks, and cementitious skim coats in general.
How is it installed?
Press it gently with the trowel into a fresh, even layer of the product so that it is completely embedded, then apply a second layer if required when the first is dry.
