Where it is used

  • Levelling and smoothing interiors on new or existing substrates, before all kinds of flooring where high resistance to loads and traffic is required
  • Areas subject to wheeled chairs
  • Concrete slabs and cementitious screeds, or screeds based on Mapecem and Mapecem Pronto
  • Anhydrite substrates, after sanding and priming
  • Over underfloor heating systems
  • Existing concrete, terrazzo, ceramic, natural stone and magnesite

Why Ultraplan

  • Ceramic coverings after 3 hours; resilient or wooden floors after 12 hours
  • Excellent self-levelling and surface finish
  • High adhesion to the substrate, and high compressive and flexural strength and abrasion resistance
  • Up to 10 mm per coat without shrinkage, cracking or crazing
  • Can be applied with an automatic pressure pump, for distances over 100 m
  • EMICODE EC1 Plus (very low emission of VOC) and Blauer Engel

How it is applied

  1. Prepare the substrate

It must be sound and free of dust, loose or detached parts, varnish, wax, oil, rust and gypsum. Repair cracks with Eporip or Eporip SCR. Treat dusty or porous concrete with Primer G (diluted 1:1 with water) or Eco Prim T Plus (diluted up to 1:4).

  2. Prime special surfaces

Sand anhydrite screeds and apply Primer G undiluted, or Eco Prim T Plus diluted up to 1:2. Clean existing ceramic and natural stone and prime with Eco Prim T Plus or Eco Prim Grip Plus.

  3. Mix

Pour a 23 kg bag into a bucket with 5.75-6 litres of clean water and mix with a low-speed electric mixer until lump-free. After 2-3 minutes, stir again. Use within 20-30 minutes at +23°C.

  4. Apply

Apply in a single coat of 1 to 10 mm with a large metal trowel or squeegee, or by pump. For wood on concrete, the coat must be at least 3 mm thick. A second coat goes on as soon as the first is set to light foot traffic (approx. 3 hours at +23°C).

  5. Lay the flooring

Ceramic after a minimum of 3 hours; resilient and wood after a minimum of 12 hours at +23°C. Check the moisture content with a carbide hygrometer or an electric moisture meter, the latter being only indicative.
